Foodie On The Loose In BKLYN
Living in New York tends to spoil you, especially with food. Trust me, it does. I tend to favor Brooklyn over the 4 other boroughs in NYC. We’ll get into it more in my next post, but I wanted to take this time to share some of my favorite restaurants in Brooklyn to nosh. Hope you enjoy checking these out. I must warn you though; reading this on an empty stomach is a bad idea. Trust me. Don’t say I didn’t warn you! Anyway, happy dining!
This place is old-fashioned to a T. Great ambiance, food, service & seasonal drinks. Great for a date, catching up with friends & people watching.
My recommendation: Get their signature Meat Loaf Sandwich! You will not be disappointed!
Come here hungry & open-minded! If you love sushi & you’re looking for some high quality food, service & eccentric sushi, Momo’s should be on your “To-Eat” List!
My recommendation: Come with a friend & try a bunch of things on the menu and don’t overlook the specials! Ask the waiters for suggestions… they love giving them!
There is always a lot of controversy over Bahn Mi sandwiches in NY. I really like Hanco’s. It’s fast, filling & you can get a whole meal for under $10. Baguettes with meat, cilantro, pickled carrots & diakon really speak to me!
My recommendation: I always get a spicy shredded chicken sandwich with a Taro Bubble Tea, but there is something for everyone!
This is such a cute date spot! The Mediterranean style small plates are great for sharing and trying all sorts of delicious dishes. FYI: In the warmer months, dining outside is ultra-special and the live music makes you feel like you re not in Brooklyn anymore!
My recommendation: The bacon wrapped dates are a must- have. Although their main dishes are tasty, I always like to go with several tapas and have a couple of bites of different things. Whatever you pick, you will go “mhmm”.
What a cute & delicious brunch spot! So much can be said about their menu, but go ahead and try whatever speaks to your stomach. *Try to get the table by the window…makes for great people watching!
My Recommendation: Try the Eggs Benedict & the French Toast. If you have room, go for the Earl Gray Crème Brulee!
What are some of your favorite places to eat? Please let us know!
