Loaded Pretzel Crisps Candy
Do-it-yourself gifts are all the rage lately. Why burn holes in your wallet, when you can easily put it together for less. You can whip up some candy covered Pretzel Crisps for Halloween, or make great use of the piles of leftover candy after October 31.
These sweet loaded Pretzel Crisps are created with a Halloween or Fall theme, so you can give them to the Halloween party host, or as a thank you to those generous enough to have you stay in their home for Thanksgiving holiday.
If you have kids, it won’t take much to convince them to be your helpers. A fun way to DIY gifting this Fall!
- Pretzel Crisps
-Chocolate, white chocolate and/or soft caramels
- Various sprinkles of Autumn or Halloween colors
-Peanut butter, chocolate, or white chocolate chips
- Any Halloween or Fall candy (a great way to use leftover Halloween candy if making these gifts for November)
- Gift boxes or bags
-Ribbon or string
Begin by melting the chocolate and caramels. I placed heat safe bowls in a deep sauce pan filled with water then turned the heat on low. Chocolate melts after occasional stirs.
The caramel should be melted according to package directions, often using the microwave or heating up in a pot.
Select your candy. Have sprinkles, chips, candy ready. You can customize these for a certain color scheme, or just use whatever holiday sweets you have on hand.
Dip Pretzel Crisps into chocolates or caramel and tap off excess. It helps to use a fork to lift Pretzels from dipping. Sprinkle on various toppings. You can also just dip one half, or the edges and roll in candy or sprinkles for a fun look.
Use gift boxes or treat bags from a craft supply store to package Pretzel Crisps once cooled. Wrap or layer in between pieces of parchment paper. Tie with a pretty ribbon or baker’s twine.
