Easy DIY Holiday Décor
I’m an October baby, so naturally I believe that fall is the best season of all! The leaves begin to change, the weather gets cooler, and we bring out our favorite sweaters and boots. Pumpkin spiced lattes, warm apple cider, Halloween and Thanksgiving…
As a new homeowner, I really started to get excited for the first Halloween in my house. As soon as October 1st hit, I ran to the store to get Halloween decorations. While I was shopping, I came up with this super simple idea to bring some festiveness to my house—and yours too!
I purchased two candle holders, two orange candles (pumpkin scented of course), and two bags of candy corn. At your local craft store, this shouldn’t cost more than 15 bucks! I came home, and in less than five minutes, I was finished. The directions are simple: put the candle in the holder, dump the candy corn in too. J The other great thing about this is that you can eat the leftovers, or just put them in your nearest candy dish!
I recently had a house warming party, and all of the guests loved my candles! I realized that this simple idea is possible for birthdays and other holidays as well. Sprinkles for birthday parties, red and green M&Ms for Christmas, and candy hearts for Valentine’s Day… You better believe my house will be decorated with these fun and festive candles all year long!
