Rice Cereal Treat Eggs Filled with Pretzel Crisps® & Candy

Do something a little different this year with your standard Rice cereal treats eggs. Shape them into eggs, hollow them out and then fill them with yummy Easter treats, including regular or Gluten Free Pretzel Crisps® Minis.

Ingredients
6 cups of rice cereal
1 10 oz bag of marshmallows
3 T butter
Cooking oil
Small Easter candy pieces
Pretzel Crisps® (Original Minis or Gluten Free)
Optional:
Candy melts
Sprinkles

Melt the butter in a large saucepan on low. Add in the marshmallows and stir it all until it is melted throughout. Pour in the rice cereal, and stir until completely coated. Spray the outside of clean plastic Easter eggs with cooking oil.

Once the cereal is firm enough to hold shape, spray your hands with cooking oil and press the cereal mixture onto the outside of egg halves. Allow them to sit until fully firm. Fill the plastic eggs with Easter treats and Pretzel Crisp® Minis or Gluten Free Pretzel Crisps®. Close two egg halves together (with the plastic still inside).

As an option, you can also melt down candy melts and pour them into a plastic piping bag. Pipe some out on top of the egg (before pressing the egg halves together), piping short drips along the sides. Shake a little to smooth out the chocolate, then drop sprinkles on top. Allow to cool and harden.
